When ending its recent State of Play, Sony revealed a new batch of titles that leverage the power of the PS5 Pro. These include highly awaited games like Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, which is in development for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
In a new PlayStation Blog post, Konami creative producer Yuji Korekago revealed that PlayStation’s Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) would allow for “more vivid” trees and vegetation while traversing its jungles. There will also be better frame rates throughout the experience, resulting in “smoother gameplay.”
Konami hasn’t outright confirmed the resolution and frame rate of the remake. Hands-on impressions of a demo from last month indicated a Quality mode that ran at 4K/30 FPS and a Performance Mode that delivered dynamic 1080p resolution. Whether these are the final numbers or not, and how much higher tsports bettinghey’ll go on PS5 Pro, remains to be seen.
The PS5 Pro launches on November 7th worldwide for $699.99, with the Vertical Stand and disc drive costing extra. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater doesn’t have a release date, but it will be playable at Tokyo Game Show 2024. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
