With all of Europe s top-tiers really reaching the business end of the season, we have another stacked schedule on our hands this weekend. So, for those of you looking to stick on a Saturday acca, we have found a handful of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.
Saturday March 12th
BST 12:30 Brighton vs Liverpool
Starting with Saturday s guests, while Liverpool might have suffered a 1-0 loss against Inter Milan earlier in the week, Jurgen Klopp s men did manage to extend on their Champions League adventure. Last seen on Premier League duties claiming a scrappy 1-0 win against West Ham at Anfield, the English giants are firmly battling it out in this season s title chase. Looking to cut Manchester City s buffer at the top of the table back to just three points, the one-time Borussia Dortmund boss has seen his side win each of their last 11 domestic contests on the bounce. Lifting the EFL Cup earlier in the month thanks to that thrilling penalties victory against Chelsea at Wembley, Liverpool should be smelling the chance to lay down another top-flight marker here. With the likes of attacking talisman Mohamed Salah enjoying another free-scoring run this year, it should also be noted that Klopp s side have not lost a matchup away from Anfield since opening 2022. On the flip side, last seen getting hit with a 2-1 loss away at Newcastle, it is fair to say that Brighton are in the midst of a worrying run of form. Freefalling their way down the Premier League table, Graham Potter s side have lost each of their last four top-tier contests on the spin. Bagging just a single strike on their four-match losing run, Saturday s hosts have also recorded just a single Premier League victory since January 2nd.
Tip: Liverpool win under 5.5 goals @ 10/11
15:00 Nottingham Forest vs Reading
Last seen earlier in the week extending on their FA Cup adventure thanks to a 2-1 win at home against Huddersfield, there is no doubt that the mood in Nottingham Forest s camp is at a red-hot high. While the one-time European champions might find themselves in an uphill battle to clinch a play-off spot this season, they have really found a stellar purple patch since bringing Steve Cooper to the City Ground. Skyrocketing their way up the Championship table, the former Swansea boss finds his side enjoying a seven-match unbeaten run across all formats, a run that stems back to the end of January. Looking to lay down another marker on home soil, Saturday s hosts should be boosted by their rampant record at the City Ground. Including that 2-1 win against Huddersfield earlier in the week, Forest are unbeaten in their last seven home fixtures, recording six wins. Desperate to try and make up some ground in the top-six chase, they will be looking to cash in on a downbeat Reading side. Suffering back-to-back 4-1 and 1-0 defeats against Blackpool and Millwall over the past week, Paul Ince s new squad are at the heart of a relegation scrap. Crashing back down to earth after a brief boost last month, it is hard to see anything other than a routine home victory for a high-flying Nottingham Forest this weekend. Tip:
Nottingham Forest win over 1.5 goals @ 10/11
17:00 Sampdoria vs Juventus
Starting with Saturday s guests, while Juventus might know that they are still tipped as a real underdog in this year s Serie A title chase, the Old Lady have managed to find a recent purple patch. Eventually claiming a 1-0 win at home against Spezia last weekend, the Italian giants are enjoying a three-match winning run across all formats. Picking up a Coppa Italia advantage thanks to another 1-0 victory away at Fiorentina, Head Coach Massimiliano Allegri should find the mood in his camp at a high. In fact, still hoping to extend on their Champions League adventure when they meet Villarreal for their second-leg meeting next week, Juve are enjoying an extended 11-match unbeaten run. Watching new attacking talisman Dušan Vlahović really hit the ground running since making the move to Turin back in January, it should also be noted that Allegri s men have collected back-to-back victories on the road. Likewise, with just a single domestic defeat to their name since opening 2022, Saturday s guests should be looking to pounce on a Sampdoria side in the midst of a real struggle. Last seen getting hit with a 2-1 loss away at Udinese, the Blucerchiati are firmly at the heart of a relegation scrap and know that they face a huge task here. Losing three of their last four Serie A outings, including a 4-0 drumming against Atalanta on February 28th, we re backing a similar outcome here.
