Arsenal are interested in signing James Maddison from Leicester City, according to .
Maddison is a product of the youth setup at Coventry, having gone through the ranks there and earned first-team promotion in 2014. He joined Norwich City in January 2016 but returned to Coventry on loan for the rest of that season, and he spent the first half of the following one on loan with Aberdeen. His stock grew in pace with his fine performances for the Canaries, and he quickly became a player in much demand. In 2018, he joined Leicester for a reported fee of just over £20 million.
Arsenal are searching for an attacking midfielder following Martin Odegaard s return to Real Madrid at the end of 2020-21, but they are still keeping an eye on the Norwegian amid reports that he still isn t certain he wants to remain in the Spanish capital.
The problem with Maddison right now, from Arsenal s point of view, is that Leicester have no need to sell and there are still three years left on his contract. It is believed that a bid of at least £70m is needed for the Foxes to even consider doing a deal.
